MSLA 2023 Conference: Gear Up

You have access to PebbleGo Animals and Pebble Go Biographies! Now what?
PebbleGo is a nonfiction database that provides regular opportunities to integrate nonfiction
texts and inquiry into learning. Research tells us that nonfiction texts contribute to and build
background knowledge and connections, increases vocabulary, improves decoding skills, and
thus, increases comprehension!
In this session, we will offer an overview of PebbleGo, share methods of inquiry using PG, and
model techniques for integrating PebbleGo into library, content, and ELA classes while aligning
the texts to multiple standards simultaneously.
We will introduce participants to Capstone Connect, the platform that aligns the texts to
content and ELA standards; eBooks; and PebbleGo Next! Participants will leave with a free trial
to explore these resources and ideas to use them this spring!
